When you think about your career, it is my strong opinion that there should always be a way to progress — even if you are already a senior lead Pokémon master.

Our environment is changing faster than ever. This is not another post about AI, but there is a real middle ground between being unable to work without AI assistance and ignoring it altogether. One of the areas AI can genuinely help you is learning new technologies and tools — not as a shortcut, but as a force multiplier for the hours you are already putting in.

And those hours matter. Putting in a few hundred hours on a pet project, building something real, something you can talk about is impressive to potential employers. In my experience, when you make a genuine effort to help yourself, the path forward has a way of meeting you halfway.

That path should be visible. There should be multiple career tracks available to you — transparent and measurable. You should be able to see where you are, where the trail leads, and know that every step forward is recognized.
