Passed PL-300 exam – Power BI Data Analyst Associate

I took this exam as I was asked to take it. It should not matter for someone with 8 years of experience but for the same reasons it should not be hard to pass. This exam is too difficult for juniors and slightly too easy for seniors.
The usual 700 score is necessary for passing but I want to say that you are going to have questions about topics or features you have never heard about; maybe those questions are there as an easy way to increase the difficulty of passing without increasing the complexity of the rest of the questions.

General advice: read a book about Power Query, preferably from Ken Pulse, do the same with DAX from SQLBI, have some experience in managing workspaces and access to reports, learn the use-cases and usage of the smart visuals.

I read the Exam Ref. book to prepare and did the practice test on the MS learn site. I'd say having decent reading comprehension matters a lot. If you are used to skimming pages of documents then you might find it difficult to read all the questions and case studies carefully. I don't review questions at the end of the exam, I like to read them at least twice no matter how easy they seem, this method makes reviewing unnecessary as reading them again is unlikely to help me answering. Good luck!
